Luzzi, maybe the ancient Tebe-Lucana, is a village rich with history and art as shown by many witnesses: from rich archaeological findings, to important monastic installation of high and low Middle Age, to the beautiful churches and noble palaces downtown. Amongst these, Vivacqua Palace, site of the city hall, still keeps it's native glamour.
Many traditional foods are still available in the ovens of the historic city centre: the "taralli" (a kind of crunchy bread) with aniseed, the "focaccia" with anchovies, and the "pittacunzata" bread with oil, oregano and pepper.
