In is how the poet Antonio Julia describes his village, Acri.

Three hills are the heraldic symbol and land in which Acri extends. The urban centre, in the oldest part, overlooks the Mucone and Crati valleys as far as the eye can see up to the Pollino mountains. The origin of the village is lost in time. The natural beauties and the characteristic narrow streets, and old churches are the main attractions of this village. Among the sacred buildings must be mentioned the Beato Angelo sanctuary who gives the name to the Basilica which are found in the ancient Cappuccini district.
